Rogue’s gallery of fake art on eBay

The identity of one of Britain’s most prolific salesmen of fake art can be disclosed today.

Geoffrey Spilman, the son of a vicar, has sold hundreds of fake paintings through the internet auction site eBay, a Sunday Telegraph investigation has discovered.

Mr Spilman, 48, is churning out three pictures a week and selling them from his council flat in Rugby, Warwickshire.
