'Last Post:' Final Thoughts from Britain's WWI Vets

World War I is fading from living memory. In Britain, only 21 veterans of the Great War remain. Their recollections have recently been published in Britain as Last Post: The Final Word from Our First World War Soldiers. NPR's Jennifer Ludden speaks with British writer Max Arthur, who spent the past year tracking down and interviewing those remaining veterans.
